Steeped in history, the American Cancer Society’s 19th Hole Club was founded 50 years ago in 1968 by Jack Nicklaus, Julius Boros, Bob Hope and Perry Como to help raise critical funds in the fight against cancer.  Capitalizing on their career success and celebrity, these gentlemen recognized an opportunity to help the fight against cancer before it was considered de rigueur to do so.

We are thrilled to have the “Golden Bear,” one of the founding members, hosting our Golden Anniversary event this year! Since that inaugural event, more than 80 PGA & LPGA TOUR players have hosted the affair which has evolved from an exhibition match in the 60s, to a luncheon and golf clinic in the 80s, to what is now an evening social soirée intended for both, golfers and non-golfers alike, with an open bar, fabulous food stations, a glow-in-the-dark putting contest, chipping contest and silent auction.
